ECONOFLAME MAXIMISES EFFICIENCY AND MINIMISES INSTALLATION EFFORT

The latest range of Econoflame commercial and industrial boilers from Stokvis Energy Systems exceed Part L Building Regulation requirements and many are included on the Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme. For even greater environmental friendliness, they are also manufactured from 100% recyclable materials.

The Econoflame R300 and R500 gas-fired commercial and industrial boilers come in fourteen models with outputs ranging from 62kW to 274kW. These floor standing condensing boilers offer ultra high efficiencies, seamless output modulation, and low NOx emissions.  They incorporate the Stokvis design of premix, water cooled, bi-metal burner, offering higher efficiency than atmospheric models.

The R300 and R500 are especially useful for situations such as multi boiler applications where a number of units are arranged in sequence, offering optimum efficiency and flexibility because they are compact units featuring a small flue diameter and tiny footprint beginning at just 445mm by 500mm.

Econoflame R300 and R500 boilers, which are supplied complete with an integral primary pump and are BMS compatible, are competitively priced, have a high build quality and a long life due to their stainless steel construction. Their bi-metallic burner tubes (stainless steel inside, aluminium outside) are connected in series with multiple-pass heat exchangers, also in stainless steel. Water content is low, for rapid adjustment to changing conditions, and an optional boiler controlled pump is available.

The Econoflame 3400, 3500 and 3600 series are environmentally friendly modulating gas fired heating boilers that can vary its output from 25 to 100 per cent of maximum capacity. The series R3400 consists of six types in a range from 657 to 1,189kW, the series R3500 comprises five types in a range from 613 to 1,000kW and there are five boilers in the series R3600 from 631 to 1,031kW.

The boilers’ controller ensures maximum energy efficiency. Boiler capacity is continually adjusted and the boiler can accurately follow the heating demand. If the boiler is operating at minimum capacity and the temperature of the supply water rises above the desired value, the unit will be shut down. As soon as the temperature of the supply water falls below the set value, the boiler will be re-started.

The units, which can be supplied either as a standard or a room sealed, have an extremely low NOx and CO emissions and therefore satisfy the most stringent European requirements.

All three ranges have a small water capacity so they can rapidly adjust to changing conditions.

Econoflame R2700 ultra low CO and NOx emission premix, fully modulating boilers offer a higher efficiency and smaller footprint and flue diameter than atmospheric models. They are constructed in stainless steel and include an integral primary boiler pump. They are BMS compatible and have a semi condensing capability with no minimum return temperature requirements.

The existing and well-proven range of whisper quiet Econoflame R2000 and R18 series, meanwhile, features gas and secondary air controlled from a single source, precluding the possibility of control errors. The damper is insulated, preventing downward heat radiation and maximising efficiency. For ease of maintenance and to keep labour costs as low as possible, the complete burner, including all gas and air controls, can be removed on wheels.

Other features include a highly conductive copper heat exchanger, minimising boiler size and maximising output. Copper is also resistant to thermal shock, extending the lifetime of the heat exchanger.

Baffles give maximum turbulence of (and therefore heat extraction from) flue gases, boosting efficiency.

The boilers are substantially lighter than cast iron/welded steel boilers so structural limitations are overcome when boilers are located in roof top plantrooms.
